RESUMEN

A lo largo de los últimos 40 años la ICC ha presentado un avance notable en el tratamiento, tanto médico como con dispositivos eléctricos, revascularización percutánea, cirugía, y medidas de soporte circulatorio. Con ellas el Trasplante Cardíaco ha dejado de ser un tratamiento imprescindible y poco a poco las otras técnicas le han ido sustituyendo y conseguiran reducir su papel en el manejo final de la ICC.

ALTERNATIVE TREATMENTS TO HEART TRANSPLANT

ABSTRACT

On the past 40 years it has been a significant advance in the Heart Failure treatment, both medical and electrical devices, percutaneous revascularization, surgery, and circulatory support. With them heart transplantation is no longer an essential treatment. Gradually the other techniques are limiting the role of heart transplantation in the final treatment of Heart Failure.
